Holly Kennedy, LPC, PMH-C
Director of Private Coaching
After growing up in Virginia and attending William and Mary, I ventured up north where I earned a Master's degree in Counseling from Boston College. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2004. I have enjoyed a variety of roles including child and family therapy, career counseling, and solution-oriented therapy as an employee assistance program coordinator. Shortly after coming to Charlottesville I welcomed my first son in 2012 and taught a self development course at PVCC along with getting to be part of The Women's Initiative as a pro bono therapist. To put it lightly, motherhood rocked my world. Upon finding my own path of healing and self-discovery, I became very committed to advocating and supporting maternal well-being. Thankfully, all the pieces lined up including serendipitously meeting Ellen, which led to bringing our passion to action in cultivating MTW. I love learning and strive to enhance my work through on-going professional development in motherhood, couples dynamics, and understanding more about our brain, hormones, and the inner workings of our thought patterns and emotions. With two boys our family tends to stay pretty active with sports, traveling, and connecting with friends. I try to balance that out with some quiet time doing a puzzle, chilling with my cats, and I love a good organization project. At some point I'd really like meditation to make that list as well. : )

Ellen Jones, M.Ed., PMH-C
Director of Groups
I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and have a countless number of Cleveland-themed tees to show for it. I hold a BA in Psychology and a minor in Spanish from Sewanee, a Master’s degree in Counselor Education from the University of Virginia, and a certification in Perinatal Mental Health from Postpartum Support International. I have enjoyed a full career in the mental health field providing support for children and families since 2004, primarily focusing on families in crisis and children who experienced trauma. When I became a mom in 2012 and felt completely blindsided by the ups and downs, I was lucky enough to meet Holly, and together we shifted our focus from therapy to maternal wellness coaching. Along with my training in perinatal mental health, I continue to deepen my knowledge and expertise in the area of group leadership - my bread and butter and my absolute favorite thing to do. I'm actively expanding my knowledge in the areas of perinatal loss and infertility. Along with my roles at MTW, I focus my efforts on the other parts of myself and my life. I love being outdoors, spotting birds and other wildlife, cooking, baking GF sweet treats, strength training, and doing deep dives into all things coffee. I have two incredible children, a very smiley chocolate lab who loves posing for pictures, and an amazing spouse with whom I run our wild circus.
